RI REALTORS® Homebuyer Assistance Grant

Realtor Foundation: RI and RIHousing understand the importance of home ownership in supporting families, communities, and our economy. That’s why, this year we’re partnering to offer up to 52 assistance grants to help with down payment and closing costs for eligible homebuyers.

Eligibility

• First-time homebuyers with qualifying income limits under $90,560*.
• Obtain an RIHousing-funded first mortgage through a Participating Lender or the RIHousing Loan Center.

Grant Amount

• $1,000 for eligible first-time homebuyers.
  or
• $2,000 for eligible first-time home buyers who are also Veterans or active military personnel.

Terms & Conditions

• No monthly payments due; immediately forgivable.
• May be paired with one of the RIHousing homebuyer assistance products
• All first mortgage requirements apply.

Homeownership is a cornerstone of financial and community growth. By removing financial barriers the Grant will help more Rhode Islanders get into their own homes and build a brighter future.

The RI Realtor Homebuyer Grant is available beginning January 21, 2025. Funds are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis to eligible buyers. To learn more, please contact the RIHousing Loan Center or an RIHousing Participating Lender.
