Deadline Approaching for Applications for Realtor Foundation: RI Grants

Warwick, RI –  The Realtor Foundation: Rhode Island is accepting applications from non-profit 501(c)3 organizations for grants of up to $5000. Applicants must support the Realtor Foundation’s mission to enhance the quality of life within our communities by organizing volunteers and/or raising funds that enrich communities and assist individuals or entities affected by a personal or natural disaster.

Applicants will be evaluated on community need; the impact on the recipient organization, the location of the community served, the financial soundness and efficiency of the organization, the structure and level of volunteer support, and the accuracy and completeness of the application. Complete applications must be received by REALTOR® Foundation Rhode Island, 100 Bignall Street, Warwick, RI, 02888, attn: Philip Tedesco by 5 p.m. on February 15th, 2019.

The grants are part of a quarterly grant cycle offered by the REALTOR Foundation: Rhode Island. Last quarter Mentor Rhode Island was awarded $1,250 for its Warwick Mentor Program that served 160 children during the last school year. Welcome House of South County was awarded the same amount for its emergency shelter, soup kitchen, supportive transitional living, and case management and advocacy services for neighbors in need. Amos House received $1,500 for its Fatherhood Program which provides structured housing for eight fathers and twelve children, and the Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island received $1,000 to help keep the organization’s Resource Center open.

In total, 15 different non-profit organizations have been aided by the Realtor Foundation, RI through its quarterly grant program.
